The Catholicos of All Armenians Blessed the Newly Ordained Father Atanas Sargsyan.
On July 2, His Holiness Garegin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians met the newly ordained Father Atanas, accompanied by the Primate of the Artsakh Diocese, Bishop Vrtanes Abrahamyan, in the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin. Father Atanas has recently ordained a priest of the Gandzasar Monastery and spent the lent in Dadivank.

Firstly, His Excellency introduced father Athanas who served as a military chaplain in Armenia and later in >Artsakh.
His Excellency stressed that father Athanasius always performed to the full potential his obligations as a spiritual leader earning respect and high appreciation.
Then His Holiness bestowed on Father Athanasius his blessing and congratulations on the ordination and the first mass. He also expressed gratitude to the young clergyman for his devout service and high commitment in Dadivank. His Holiness discussed the conditions of service of the clergy living in Dadivank with the prelate of the Artsakh Diocese. They also touched upon the spiritual mission of the monastery, the circumstances that prevent pilgrimages, and efforts to revive them.
His Holiness expressed confidence that over time, the existing difficulties will be resolved. In conclusion, the Armenian
Patriarch blessed the newly ordained fr. Athanas with the “Protecting” prayer, wishing him strong faith and productive service for the glory of God and the enlightenment of the Armenian Church.
