The Liturgy on the feast of Christmas

On January 8th in the Church of St. Stepanos village, Khachmach local pastor Matthias Dravanz celebrated the Holy and Immortal Christmas Liturgy. The service was attended by villagers and pilgrims from Stepanakert.

The father covered the Christmas message from the altar for those present, explained to the children of the village the mystery of the miraculous birth of Christ.

At the end of the liturgy, an ablution ceremony took place. Norayr Grigoryan, a devoted son of the church, was elected godfather of the church for this year. In the end, the consecrated water was distributed to those present.

The festive liturgy and ablution ceremony on the occasion of Christmas was also served in the neighboring village of Karmirgyukh by Archimandrite Sahak Shakaryan. Here, the faithful son of the church, Andranik Khachatryan, was elected godfather of the church for this year.
