Meeting of the Primate of the Diocese with the head of the RCNK

Primate of the Artsakh Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church Bishop Vrtanes Abrahamyan held a meeting with the head of the RCNK Alexander Bordov.:

Bishop Vrtanes noted the significant contribution of the Russian community to the revival of Russian Orthodoxy in the Artsakh Republic, to the development of interethnic and interfaith relations, paying particular attention to the contribution of the community to strengthening ties between the parishioners of the Russian Orthodox and Armenian Apostolic Churches.

The main topic of the meeting was the closure of the Lachin corridor - another flagrant violation by the Azerbaijani side of the tripartite statement dated 09/11/2020, as well as the current humanitarian situation.

The importance of the legal assessment of the criminal acts of the Azerbaijani leadership was noted.

In turn, Alexander Bordov expressed deep gratitude to the Primate of the Artsakh Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church, Bishop Vrtanes Abrahamyan, for his efforts in building the first Orthodox church in Artsakh in more than a hundred years, for his always sensitive attitude towards the Russian community and the faithful of Russian Orthodox Church in NKR.
