Feast of Rememberance of St. Vardan the Warrior and His Companions in the church of St. Vardan in Chartar

This year, on February 16, the Armenian Church celebrates the day of Rememberance of St. Vardan the Warrior and His Companions. The message of this day once again reminds us that the nation is immortalized thanks to the preservation of its faith and Motherland, the greatest proof of which is also the selfless and indomitable struggle of the St. Vardan the Warrior and His 1036 Companions.

This day is considered the day of the covenant of the church of St. Vardan in Chartar, and in this regard, the Holy Liturgy was served today in this church under the chairmanship of the Primate of the diocese and by the hand of the Reverend Father Vardan Nersisyan. The clergy of the diocese and chaplains of the DA also took part in the Liturgy. The inhabitants of Chartar attended the festive liturgy with great enthusiasm.

The Feast of Rememberance of St. Vardan the Warrior and His Companions is also considered the naming day of the Catholicos of All Armenians, on the occasion of which the Patriarchal Prayer was performed, wishing His Holiness a long-term and fruitful enthronement.
