Nativity of the Holy Mother of God in Askeran
In the calendar of the Armenian Church, September 8, highlighted in a festive tone, is considered one of the most beautiful holidays - the miraculous birthday of the Most Holy Mother of God. On this occasion, the Holy Liturgy was celebrated in the churches bearing the name of the Holy Mother of God, and the birth of the Mother of God was celebrated with great inspiration.
With the intention of the feast, this day in the Artsakh Diocese was also established as the day of the Testament of the Church of the Most Holy Mother of God of Askeran. On this occasion, the Holy and Immortal Liturgy was served in the church under the chairmanship of the Deputy Primate of the Artsakh Diocese, His Reverend archimandrite Sahak Shakarian and by the hand of the local pastor, Father Mesrop Mkrtchyan. The father communicated the good message of the day to the faithful, who, under the leadership of the clergy, offered up a joint prayer, asking for the intercession of the Holy Mother of God.
