Before the war, Father Benjamin was a priest of the Kashatagh region, he always visited villages, performed rituals of blessing and remembrance. After the war, he stayed in Artsakh, now he continues his spiritual service in the Askeran region. In May of this year, on the feast of the Ascension of the Lord, the Divine Liturgy was served for the first time in the Berdzor Church by the Monk Benjamin Tsaturyan under the chairmanship of the Deputy Primate of the Artsakh Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church, Father Sahak Shakaryan, with the participation of other priests and deacons.

The Church of the Holy Ascension was built in 1996-98. From the very moment of its foundation, it has always been crowded. In the courtyard of the church, there are khachkars-monuments dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide and the Spitak earthquake.

By decision of the head of the diocese, a liturgy will be celebrated once a month in the Church of the Ascension of Berdzor.
