Priests Meeting of the third trimester, 2021
On October 5 this year, under the chairmanship of the Primate of the Artsakh Diocese, Bishop Vrtanes Abrahamyan, a reporting meeting of priests of the third trimester, 2021 was held.
The meeting began with the "Our Father" prayer and with a welcoming speech by the Primate of the Diocese. The pious fathers presented reports on their work done. The agenda included issues of the spiritual security of Artsakh, the activation of spiritual preaching, the implementation of social and charitable projects. The achievements and shortcomings of the activities of the Artsakh diocese were noted, for the elimination of which the corresponding working directions were outlined. The diocesan leader encouraged the priests, noting that, although there are not enough clergy in the diocese and there is a great need to replenish the spiritual army, priests called to serve in Artsakh should bear this heavy and sweet yoke with love and responsibility.
During the meeting, projects were discussed to create youth and women's unions at operating churches and support their active work, the opening of youth centers and the opening of a Christian educational center of the diocese. The question was raised about strengthening the care of vulnerable groups of societies, such as families of the fallen soldiers, families of disabled people and others. The Primate instructed to organize pastoral visits to government departments and educational institutions.
The spiritual life of the Artsakh diocese today requires the devoted and selfless service of spiritual fathers. The priests of the diocese, as sowers of souls, must sow the seeds of Christ's love in the Artsakh world and wait for God's blessing and kind fruits.
