Walking pilgrimage to the Church of the Holy Mother of God in Dashushen

Today, on the day of remembrance of the sons and grandsons of St. Gregory the Illuminator, a pilgrimage to the Church of the Holy Mother of God in Dashushen was organized. Several dozen believers, under the guidance of the local spiritual pastor, Reverend Father Nerses Asryan, walked from Stepanakert to the place of pilgrimage. The Father served the festive Holy Liturgy in the church.

Today is the day of memory of Aristakes, Vrtanes, Husik, Grigoris, and Daniel, who are an example for all of us of how to manage the inheritance received from the Father. This day is another occasion to remember and reflect on our spiritual heritage, as well as to unite to defend our Mother Church and Motherland, inherited from our ancestors.

And, as Father Nerses noted in his sermon today, Artsakh is not only a home, but also a spiritual treasury, where Armenian saints and prominent people, monasteries and churches, shrines, cultural and national values ​​are gathered.

At the end of the Liturgy, the pilgrims also visited the local shrine of St. Srabek, where a spiritual conversation took place.
