International three-day conference in Stepanakert
On October 8-11, at the initiative of the Artsakh Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Holy Church, the National Academy of Sciences of RA and the Artsakh Scientific Center, an international three-day conference was held in the capital of the Republic of Artsakh on the topic “Problems and dangers of protecting the spiritual and cultural heritage of Artsakh”.
The conference was attended by professors from the State University of North Ossetia and Dagestan. Specialists from Germany, Switzerland and the Russian Federation also joined conference in an online format.
With the blessing of the Catholicos of All Armenians, the director of the Institution for the Spiritual and Cultural Heritage of Artsakh and the Preaching Center, Archimandrite Garegin Hambardzumyan, was the representative of the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin at the conference.
The Primate of the Artsakh Diocese, His Grace Bishop Vrtanes Abrahamyan and the President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Artsakh Mr. Artur Tovmasyan conveyed their welcoming speech to those present.
At the conference, among other topics, issues related to the expropriation policy of Azerbaijan, the preservation of the spiritual and material, historical and cultural heritage of Artsakh, Armenian studies and the history of the Church of Albania were discussed.
