Dear compatriots!

Before my speech, let me pass you the warm greetings and unfailing love of our brothers and sisters living in Artsakh.

We all know what is happening in Artsakh and the processes in our holy motherland. We are in the same situation characterized by Catholicos Khrimyan: A big trade is happening. Artsakh is put for sale, and iron-shaped scoops wait for their prey. No matter how many hopes we would have for peace, we deceive ourselves, the reality will not change. As it happens to a chronic alcoholic, everything will go to destruction. Artsakh is not subject to sale.

Artsakh is an indivisible part of the Armenian world, blessed by God. Artsakh is a sacred land, and it belongs only to us Armenians. To stand for Artsakh is to stand for our conscience and justice. To stand for Artsakh is to stand for civilization and human rights. To stand for Artsakh is to keep God’s commandments. God is love; our love for our brothers and country will be the iron-shaped scoop we need. Naturally, people and nations, from time to time, reap what was sown and grown, but today with our terrible indifference, all of us have committed the most frightening eighth sin. If we are indifferent to the processes that happen to Artsakh, we participate in selling Artsakh.

I apologize for the comparison, but do we need a route transport or electricity bills for 50 drams so that 100,000 Armenians will go out into the streets and cry for justice? Is it harder to touch an Armenian's pocket? Is it a crime to stand for a thousand-year-old homeland? Is this an Armenian?

A few days ago in the Martakert region, two children in one of the villages drowned in search of food. Pregnant women have already been registered as children not born due to malnutrition. We have cases of premature death, problems with transport, and lack of medication; many patients, especially those whose life depends on the periodicity of blood from dialysis, literally wait to see when they shall die. What else is needed to realize the seriousness of the situation? How much is required to realize this is our shared pain and responsibility?

Today's situation comes again even to remind us that in Artsakh, the movement is not over and is still going on. It should become everyday bread, the way of life, mission, idea, and work. During the Artsakh movement, thousands of Armenians became heroes, immortal, and a powerful spiritual army, under whose spiritual gaze we should not make mistakes but become one with the nation's united fist. Let us finish that movement to see a free, sovereign, safe Artsakh. Artsakh is the driving force for the Armenian identity and dignity. Losing Artsakh means losing our identity and dignity.

Dear citizens of Artsakh, we are conveying to you the paternal love and prayers of His Holiness Catholicos Karekin II. He reminds us that our Church, with its worldwide dioceses and communities, firmly stands for Artsakh and will make every effort to defend its rights.
Dear compatriots,
Let us remove indifference. Let us leave evil. Let us rise as a nation and stand for Artsakh. God blesses our way; God is with us. And if God is with us, who can be against us?

And now, for the renewed unity movement to start, let us bow down in prayer and ask God to bless and protect our Armenian nation and Artsakh.
