Araratian Week

From June 16 to 22, 2025, the Armenian Apostolic Holy Church will solemnly celebrate the Feasts of Araratian Week. With the blessing of His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians, sacred relics from the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin will be brought forth for the veneration of the faithful.

• June 16 – Feast of the Virgin-Martyrs of Saint Hripsime
  1. 09:30: Procession from the Mother See to Saint Hripsime Monastery with the relics of the saint
  2. 10:30: Divine Liturgy at Saint Hripsime Monastery
  3. Rite of Andastan
• June 17 – Feast of the Virgin-Martyrs of Saint Gayane
  1. 10:00: Procession with the relics of Saint Gayane to her namesake monastery
  2. 10:30: Divine Liturgy at Saint Gayane Monastery
  3. Rite of Andastan
• June 19 – Feast of Saint John the Forerunner and Hieromartyr Athenogenes, Bishop of Sebastea
  1. 10:30: Divine Liturgy at Shoghakat Monastery with the relics of the saints
• June 21 – Feast of Saint Gregory the Illuminator’s Emergence from the Pit
  1. 10:30: Divine Liturgy at Khor Virap Monastery with the relics of the Illuminator
• June 22 – Feast of the Cathedral of Holy Etchmiadzin
  1. 11:00: Divine Liturgy at the Mother Cathedral of Etchmiadzin
  2. Following the Liturgy, a special prayer will be offered by the Catholicos for the steadfastness and eternal radiance of the Mother See

On the occasion of the Feast, the following will be brought out:

• Relic of the Life-Giving Cross of the Lord
• The Holy Lance (Geghard)
• The Right Hand of Saint Gregory the Illuminator
• Relic of Saint Sahak Partev
• Relic of Saint Gregory of Narek
• Reliquary of the Holy Martyrs of the Armenian Genocide
• Reliquary of Skevra

On this occasion, the following relics will be displayed for veneration until 18:00:
