Russian Drama Theater of Stepanakert Welcomed at the Office of the Diocese of Artsakh

Bishop Vrtanes Abrahamyan, the Primate of the Diocese of Artsakh, hosted the staff of the Russian Drama Theater of Stepanakert (RDT) at the diocese’s office. The bishop extended his blessings and greetings to the attendees.

The RDT was founded in 2022 in Stepanakert through the initiative of Alexander Bordov, president of the Russian community of Artsakh. After the displacement in September 2023, the theater was revitalized and now operates in Yerevan thanks to the support of the DIALOGUE organization and its friends, under the leadership of Yuri Navoyan.

Under the artistic direction of Zhanna Krikorova, the RDT was awarded two special diplomas at the "Arctic Stage" international theater festival in 2024.

The Diocese of Artsakh continues to collaborate with the Russian community of Artsakh through various programs to this day.
