Congratulatory Message from His Grace Bishop Vrtanes Abrahamyan to the Newly Elected President of the Republic of Artsakh, Samvel Shahramanyan
Honorable Mr. Shahramanyan,,
On behalf of the clergy of the Artsakh Diocese and our faithful people, we extend our heartfelt congratulations to you on being elected to the high office of President of the Republic of Artsakh. In this challenging time for Artsakh, marked by trials and visible obstacles, the eyes of all Artsakh Armenians are upon you, hoping for a positive resolution to the hardships and deprivations they willingly endure. Truly, the burden is heavy, but for a Christian, any burden becomes sweet and bearable when carried with love and for a sacred cause.
Being well aware of your past achievements and significant contributions to the state-building of Artsakh, we are confident that you will continue to serve our people with the same dedication in this new role. For 32 years, the people of Artsakh have stood on the frontlines of the struggle for the existence and dignity of the Armenian nation, enduring countless hardships and suffering. Our resilient people now need love and sincerity above all, especially from their national leaders.
The atmosphere of solidarity and unity in Artsakh’s political field must become the solid foundation of our struggle and the driving force for the unification of all Armenians. Today, more than strength and courage, we need wisdom, for without wisdom, everything may turn to ruin. The Holy Scriptures teach us that the beginning of perfect wisdom is the fear of God. Firm faith in God and a clear conscience are the strongholds of every person and nation. “Unless the Lord builds the house, the builders labor in vain. Unless the Lord watches over the city, the guards stand watch in vain” (Psalm 127:1). Inspired by these beautiful lines from Psalm 127, we pray that you will alleviate the burdens of our nation with wisdom and prudence, ensuring a peaceful life for the Armenians of Artsakh in their God-given homeland.
May God bless your new mission..
