Blessings for the Last Shift Servants of Dadivank

After the 2020 war, serving in the Dadivank Monastery complex became both a trial and a dream. The monks of the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin were called to serve at Dadivank and kept the prayerful life alive in this apostolic shrine on a rotational basis.

Until September 2023, in the situation surrounding the Republic of Artsakh, the last shift servants of Dadivank were voluntarily serving: Father Derenik Abbot Sahakyan and deacons Arsen Martirosyan and Hovhannes Evinyan. Father Derenik’s service term had long been completed, but considering that Dadivank was under double siege, his service was extended for additional blessed months. Father Derenik and the deacons recall the days spent in the ancient Armenian monastery with great enthusiasm and joy.

Today, on December 5, His Grace Bishop Vrtanes Abrahamyan, the Primate of Artsakh, bestowed blessing letters on the servants of Dadivank in recognition of their dedicated and selfless service.
