Pan-Armenian Prayer for Captives
“Dear compatriots!
On November 10, by the directive of His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians, a Pan-Armenian prayer will be offered during the Divine Liturgy in the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin and in all churches across the dioceses of Armenia and the Diaspora. This prayer is dedicated to the defense of the rights of the Armenians of Artsakh, particularly for the servicemen, civilians, and representatives of the political and military leadership of the Republic of Artsakh, who have been abducted, unlawfully detained, and imprisoned in Baku under fabricated charges by Azerbaijan.
In response to the call of the Catholicos of All Armenians, the World Council of Churches (WCC) and the Conference of European Churches (CEC) have urged their member churches and all people of goodwill to join in the Day of Prayer dedicated to Armenia and the Armenians of Artsakh on November 10.
The Holy and Immortal Liturgy in the Mother Cathedral of Holy Etchmiadzin will be celebrated by His Grace Bishop Vrtanes Abrahamyan, Primate of the Diocese of Artsakh..
We warmly invite our faithful people to participate in the Holy and Immortal Liturgy and join in united prayer for the return of our compatriots held captive.
Start of the Divine Liturgy: 11:00 AM
