Today is the feast of the Ascension of Jesus Christ

"God has ascended with a shout, The LORD, with the sound of a trumpet." (Psalms 46:6)

Today the Armenian Apostolic Holy Church celebrates the feast of the Ascension of Jesus Christ. In the churches of the Artsakh Diocese, the Ascension of Christ was celebrated with a festive Holy Liturgy.

The Armenian Apostolic Holy Church on this feast also mentions the historical day of the displacement of the Catholicosate from the city of Sis in Cilicia to Etchmiadzin in 1441 and in commemoration of this historic day, a patriarchal prayer service was performed today.
