The city of Berdzor, the regional center of the Kashatagh region of the Republic of Artsakh, after a 44-day war was practically deserted, and the Church of the Holy Ascension in the city lost its praying believers. Some residents began to return, but in order to break the deaf prayer silence, and so that the candles of hope do not go out, one of the priests of the Artsakh diocese comes here every month and holds the Holy Pilgrimage Liturgy. Almost every day, passers-by stop, go to church and pray to God.<\/p>\n
December 21 of this year, on the day of commemoration of St. Abgar, who was the first Christian king in the world, father Andreas Tavadyan served another liturgy. In his sermon, Father Andreas referred to the biography of King Abgar, stating that despite the fact that Christianity was declared the state religion in Armenia in 301, during the reign of King Trdat III, but the first Armenian king who believed in Christ, was baptized and became Christian in the first century was Abgar. Therefore, we, as the first Christian nation and as the descendants of the first Christian king, must believe in God not in our own interests, but because God exists, He is and loves us.<\/p>\n\n\t\t
